Milk Thistle Combination was formerly
known as LIV-Guard and now has the
added benefit of a powerful antioxidant,
N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC). NAC also
enhances the liver's production of glutathione
which is needed for dealing with the buidup
of toxins and free radicals that occur in the body.

This product provides the nutrition necessary
to assist the liver in its performance,
calculated as 500 or more functions,
so it is so important to look after our
livers. Many have a liver problem withour
realising it. It may not be a serious liver
problem but it may not be coping witht the
daily intake of foods, drinks and other
things that overburden the liver. Look for
signs in the eyes. If they are discoloured
at all, and not a nice healthy white, then
the liver may need a boost, either in a
change of eating and drinking habits,
and/or a supplement such as Milk Thistle
Combination or Nature's Sunshine LIV-A,
or even both.
If the eyes and/or the skin are
yellow then that is a more serios problem.
You would need advice. If you have been
drinking Carrot juice often, then that could
contribute to the yellowing of the skin.
The first place to look is on the palms
of the hands. If they are getting a yellow
or orange tinge then you are having too
much.
Milk thistle contains silymarin which
has had numerous studies done on it. Silymarin
may protect the liver itself
from the toxins it collects and breaks down. It
may also help stabilise cellular membranes,
preventing the intake of some toxins and consequent
tissue damage. This product contains a concentrated
milk thistle extract standardised to contain
80% silymarin.
May also assist eye and respiratory health.
Sometimes eye problems stem from liver problems.
Contains: per tablet
Vitamin A (beta-carotene, contains soy)
7,000 IU
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 240 mg
Choline (bitarate) 50 mg
Inositol 60 mg
Mixed in a base of: milk
thistle extract (80 percent silymarin, 140
mg), N-Acetyl-Cysteine (50 mg), dandelion
root (150 mg), choline bitartrate (60 mg)
and inositol (60 mg).
Other Ingredients: Cellulose (plant fiber), stearic acid (vegetable),
maltodextrin, magnesium stearate (vegetable),
and silicon dioxide (powdered silica).
