Food Enzymes Digest Aid provides
all round nutritional support for the digestive
processes. Taking it with meals will
support digestion of protein, carbohydrates
and fats. One capsule will help you digest
a minimum of 30 grams of protein, 30 grams
of carbohydrates and 20 grams of fats.
This is a key product for the digestive
system providing the necessary elements
to break down food compounds for absorption
into the bloodstream. If we don't digest
our meals properly we can be left in a deficient
and an uncomfortable state, so these
enzymes add to the ones already being produced.
As we age the production reduces, so if
there is a problem with discomfort after
eating, then enzymes are most probably needed.
Many processed foods lack the enzymes
needed for proper digestion so a supplement
may be needed. Cooking foods destroys enzymes
as well and many do not eat raw foods to
gain the healthful enzymes that abound in
these raw foods. If people are eating
raw foods at each meal this may reduce the
enzyme deficiencies in the diet. Stress
can also affect the digestion and stored
foods may lose some of the enzymic action.
HCL (hydrochloric acid), has been added
to this product for extra support to the
processes. Many find that they are not producing
enough of this important acid. Bile salts
are also in the product. These two items
are to help with the digestion of
proteins and fats.
Examples of various enzyme's performance
are:
Pepsin is used for the digestion of proteins
(betaine hydrochloride or HCl).
Pancreatin is produced by the pancreas
to digest proteins, carbohydrates and fats
in the small intestines. Mycozyme digests
starches.
Papain and bromelain digest protein.
Bile salts emulsify fats and prepare
them for further digestion by lipase.
Contents:
Betaine HCl: (for proteins) Necessary
for efficient protein digestion, it kills
any ingested bacteria and parasites and
makes calcium and iron more absorbable.
Bile salts: (for fats) To emulsify
dietary fats to allow their absorption through
the intestinal mucosa in to the lymphatic
vessels for transportation throughout the
body.
Bromelain: (for proteins) A
protein-digesting enzyme derived from pineapples to
assist in the removal of toxins and waste
products from the body.
Lipase: (contains lactose from milk, for
fats) A lipolytic enzyme naturally produced
by the pancreas. Assists the digestion of
dietary fats and oils in the small intestine
by splitting the fats into glycerol and
fatty acids.
Alpha-amylase: (mycozyme, for starch)
A single-celled enzyme for the digestion
of starches.
Pancreatin: (8xUSP, for all foods)
Normally produced by the pancreas to digest
proteins, carbohydrates and fats in alkaline
environments. A pancreatic tonic to aid
the increase of this enzyme.
Papain: (for proteins) A protein-digesting
enzyme obtained from unripe papaya and papaya
leaves. It is a powerful proteolytic enzyme
also referred to as vegetable pepsin.
Pepsin: (1:10,000, for proteins)
an enzyme to assist the digestion of proteins
in the acidic environment of the stomach.
Pepsin converts proteins into short chains
of amino acids. Also may help a lack
of appetite.
