If the bowels are clogged so is the whole body and the nutrients are diminished. Naturopaths many times make the bowel health the primary goal in reaching an answer to many other health problems. When this cleanse is accomplished then the recommendtion for the other individual complaints is more effective.

When the villi in the intestine become clogged with hardened and old mucous this is when the problems begin. Flax Seed Oil (with Lignans) is a convenient plant source alternative to fish oils. Experts once believed the best sources of omega-3 were fish oils, but more recently it was found that flax seed oil contains twice as much omega 3 as fish oils do.
