Do I have to work the
business plan and recruit others to do the same?
No you
don't. You may stay as a discounted customer for as long as you wish.
Am I allowed to purchase
products for others at members' prices if I am not building a
business?
Yes you
are. You may have family, friends and acquaintances who you would
like to help out with cheaper prices (or not). It does not mean you
then have to get serious about business building, but procuring
the products for others is a good start to doing so, if you wish.
Can I sign up family
members?
You
can only sign up members of your family who do not live at your
address. The
ones who do live with you would be your customers.
Are there any
restrictions on how much I sell the products for?
No
there is not, however the recommended retail price is a guide to what
is reasonable, or you may pass them on at less, or more than the recommended retail price.
Giving
loyalty discounts is a good way to keep your customers happy, or
even a product as a gift when you feel it is appropriate. (maybe when
they have purchased a lot at the retail price).
Do I have to purchase any
minimum amounts each month?
Not if you are
not building the business, but
if you are building the business, and you want to be able to qualify
for the Company's Bonus Plan each month, then you need to follow the guidelines
set out in that plan. At the moment it is a PV of 25.00 per month to qualify
for a bonus)
(the plan is in
the menu on the left)
If I am a discounted
customer only, and not building a business, do I have a minimum
requirement to remain a member?
No, but
if you don't purchase at least 25.00 PV in any given year (the year
is taken from your joining date), then you would have to pay the
yearly annual fee to remain a member.
As
it stands now, if you purchase at least 25.00 PV in your year there
is no fee for the next year.
25.00 PV
comes from one or two products usually. It depends om the PV listed
on the price list.
When we sign the
agreement form can the company change the “rules”?
Yes
they can at anytime when they see the need to do that.
This is
stated in the terms and conditions at clause No 1, when you become
a member.
(the terms and conditions
are in the menu on the left).
Is it easy to build the
business with these products?
Nothing
is guaranteed, and everything requires diligence, single mindedness,
and hard work to be successful.
Basically,
it requires signing people up as members, especially ones who want to
build a business too, but also ones who want to be discounted
members direct through the Company. You also need to gain regular
customers to attain the higher goals.
Is this pyramid selling?
No It
is MLM and there is a vast difference between the two.
Pyramids
are illegal, MLM is legal.
All the
companies, big and small, that have MLM would have lost their
businesses and paid hefty fines a long time ago and lost their
businesses as well if they were pyramids.
Usually
with pyramids there is no real product. e.g. I heard of a few some
years back that passed a 5 cent photocopy page around and also paid a
monthly fee. That fee was the business and it got split up according
to their plan. That is illegal and is termed “money laundering”.
Natures
Sunshine and other legitimate MLM businesses do not divide money up
like that and they don't have a monthly fee to start with.
Everything
is based on how much product is purchased to receive a bonus payout.
That is
the legitimate way.
In what areas can I sign
up new members and also sell the products?
Only in
NZ and it's territories, Chatham Is, Kapiti Is, Stewart Is, Cook
Is, Niue Is.
Plus in
Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Tahiti.
Can I sell to, or sign
up, shops such as health shops and supermarkets, and practitioners?
No you
can't. These ones are grouped under a different system than we are,
and they are not involved with MLM any more.
What about the markets
that open each weekend, or any market at all?
No it
is not allowed. In other words no public selling.
Am I allowed to publicly
advertise?
Yes you
are, but the manager of NSP must see it first.
If
there are changes to be made you must make the changes and then let
them see it again.
You
must always state that you are an Independent Distributor of
Nature's Sunshine Products.
We do
not represent the Company in any way and must not imply that.
Am
I allowed to have a web site?
Yes,
but the manager of NSP must view the details
you want to put on the website first.
