Herbal CA is a natural way to
add to the calcium levels in the diet. The
herbs help the absorption of calcium and
help it to stay in the body. It is also
a good source of plant silica.
Calcium levels are easily disturbed
by the foods and drink that we consume.
Fizzy drinks are well known to destroy calcium
and should really only be consumed occasionally,
if at all. In the earlier days cooks at
home used to add baking soda (bi carbonate
of soda) to the greens to help keep the
colour of the cooked vegetables. They were
unaware it seems of the effect this ingredient
has on calcium levels. This is the fizz
ingredient in fizzy drinks.
It is also said that consumption of dairy
products and too much red meat can also
disturb the levels of calcium. The calcium
in dairy products is harder to utilise and
can cause an imbalance.
Teenagers with growing pains could well
do with a good herbal calcium supplement.
