EVENING PRIMROSE OIL DESCRIPTION:

Evening Primrose is a plant with beautiful flowers cultivated in many gardens. This seed oil is the only one known to contain both gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and linoleic acid.

GLA and lineolic acid are essential fatty acids needed for optimal health. Without these fatty acids,

or if there is a metabolic block that interferes with the body's ability to make them, the health may

suffer.

The role of GLA is to assist the body in producing prostaglandins. These act as messengers to perform hundreds of various functions throughout the body. Circulation, glandular functions, skin condition, energy and many other things may be affected.

Vitamin E has been added to NSP Evening Primrose Oil to protect the oil from oxidative damage. This is such a good thing as oils are easily damaged by oxidants and Vit E is a well known antioxidant.

Keeping the oil in the frig during hot weather will stop the capsules from sticking together.

Per soft gel capsule:

Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol from soy) 15 IU (to protect the oil from oxidation).

Evening Primrose oil (from the seed) 500 mg.

Gamma-Linolenic Acid 40 mg.

Linoleic Acid 300 mg.

Other ingredients: Oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid (vegetable), gelatin, glycerin and water capsule.
